enVie: A Restaurant Review

If you’re looking to try something new when it comes to food, or if you’re just trying to live a healthier lifestyle, look no further than Envie. This cute little vegan restaurant is located in the north end of Halifax, and its cozy, trendy interior and friendly staff make it a very welcoming place to eat your dinner.

When most people think of vegan food, they think of bland, tasteless salads and food that is simply no fun at all. Envie manages to take this dietary fad and make it just as good as normal food, if not better. They have a great menu which ranges from different types of plant-based burgers, to dairy-free grilled cheese and dairy-free mac and cheese. Made fresh from organic products, and with many other dietary options such as soy-free, nut-free, and gluten-free, Envie definitely has a meal for just about anyone.

As well, Envie offers a wide range of vegan cooking classes on a regular basis, as well as juice cleanse programs. These two services are ideal if you wish to live a healthier, cleaner lifestyle at home, or even if you just want to try something new.

Envie’s mission is to “inspire people to choose a healthier, sustainable and more compassionate lifestyle through plant-based eating by making information and education accessible, so that we can create a healthier community and planet.” The staff at Envie have, in my opinion, definitely fulfilled their goal. The restaurant is becoming more and more popular as people discover it, and is the ideal spot to eat for anyone, whether they are vegan or not.

Envie is a 15 minute walk away from Citadel High School, located at 5775 Charles St.
