Music Producer Spotlight: Porter Robinson
Porter Robinson, one of the biggest up-and-coming names in the electronic music scene, is known for his infectious melodies, his unique mix of future bass and synthpop, and his use of Japanese pop culture in both his music and show visuals.
Having been on the rise since the release of his first single “Say My Name”, Porter has performed at several major electronic music festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Electric Zoo, South By Southwest, and Electric Daisy Carnival. Also, he has worked with big names in the industry including Skrillex, Tiesto, Avicii, Mat Zo, Zedd, ODESZA, and Madeon.
Some of Porter`s notable achievements include his 2013 single “Language” reaching the top spot on the iTunes’ dance chart, and a Top 10 US Chart hit labelled “Clarity”, which he co-wrote with Zedd.
Coming off of his first full album release last year that featured contributions from Urban Cone, Amy Millan (Broken Social Scene, Stars), and Breanne Duren (Owl City), Porter is currently finishing up his current tour playing shows in locations left in Singapore, Indonesia, and various cities in the US until February of next year.
